Congested roads, overcrowded schools, and high property taxes.
The high property taxes are due to GO Bonds because of over development. The citizens are having to pay for these additional schools, roads, and water/sewer. Infrastructure and schools have
not been able to keep up with the growth in the county.
It appears that the Commissioners are constantly reassessing.
Now that the Governor has placed an order, it has taken a lot of jurisdiction power away by making decisions for the county.
Early on Commissioner Levent attempted to place the issue of Covid-19 and the return to work of county employees who have traveled abroad in areas that were highly infected on a Work
I was very disappointed to hear that my opponent Commissioner Mills shot this down. She did not see the importance in discussing the matter and blocked it from being put on the agenda.
Most do not have the knowledge that it takes to be a commissioner when running for this position, that's why the ACCG exists.
Training programs are provided and in addition to government law classes through the University of Georgia.
However, my common sense and life experiences tell me that the job of Commissioner can be done better.
I would love the opportunity to help the Board of Commissioners have a more professional demeanor and to help the BOC get along better as a whole, so that they can concentrate and do
what is best for this county.
I am educated and experienced in the fields of marketing, web design, bookkeeping, and office management. I became motivated to run for commissioner after following the major issues and concerns of myself and the citizens for years. I want to address the overcrowding of schools, congested roads due to overgrowth, and high property taxes on the rise. I want to bring transparency and integrity back on the Board of Commissioners.
*Bring Back transparency and integrity on the Board of Commissioners by replacing the District 4 Commissioner.
*Following the Comprehensive Plan, future maps along with the UDC to have sensible growth that will allow us to catch up with our infrastructure before adding a sewer plant that causes massive residential growth in the NE part of Forsyth County.
I think one of the biggest issues facing our county is funding all the road improvements that are necessary to handle all of our traffic today and into the future.
I will support entrepreneurs by reminding all of our citizens to support local businesses, those that may be their neighbors or those that sit beside them in church. Supporting local business will also help with our ESPLOST, SPLOST, LOST, and sales tax revenues that helps our schools, capital projects, and the General Fund. Also, cutting as much red tape as possible to help them be successful.
I believe the two biggest environmental issues in our county is the potential asphalt and concrete plant going in the the NE portion of the county and the Reginal Landfill in the NW portion of the county. I will work with the citizens, stakeholders, and EPD to make sure they are staying compliant.
